Template:Symbolfirst/doc

This is the documentation page for Template:Symbolfirst.

When it is viewed directly, links using variables may appear broken; do not replace these with hardcoded page names or URLs.

Converts the first character of a string to a symbol if the second character is a digit:

• If the first character is - (a dash), it becomes − (a minus sign)
• If the first character is x, if becomes × (a times sign)

Intended for use with modifiers.
